Al-Azhar to Hold Quran Teachers’ Training Course

IQNA – The custodianship of Al-Azhar Grand Mosque in Egypt announced the start of registration for the fourth course of the mosque’s Quran Teachers’ Training and Skills Enhancement Center.

This course aims to enhance the skills and scientific education of those interested, to involve them in Al-Azhar’s Quranic educational activities, to strengthen the role of this center in spreading moderate thought, and to increase the Quranic skills of Egyptian citizens, El-Balad reported.

The best among those taking this course will be selected to work in Al-Azhar’s educational centers.

Abdel Moneim Fouad, general supervisor of Al-Azhar's scientific activities, said holding these courses is a national and religious investment among Al-Azhar graduates.

“We are trying to cultivate a generation that has the necessary skills in mastering Quranic sciences and teaching and interacting with future generations.”

Hani Awdah, the custodian of Al-Azhar Grand Mosque, also said the aim of these courses is to enhance the professional and academic capabilities of Al-Azhar graduates.

“Our goal is to bring Quran students to a stage of complete mastery in memorization and recitation in a manner worthy of the dignity and status of Al-Azhar Grand Mosque.”

He added, “In the fourth course, our goal is to train 600 trainees from Al-Azhar graduates, and after the end of registration, all applications will undergo a thorough review and evaluation process to divide applicants into groups and determine a program for meetings and lectures.”

Registration for this course began on December 25, 2025 and continues until January 15, 2026.
